The Chairperson of Transport Certification Australia Limited (TCA) Mr Stephen Golding AM, RFD, was today awarded the Institute of Transportation Engineers Australia and New Zealand (ITEANZ) Award for Contribution to the Transportation Profession.
This award is presented by ITEANZ to an individual who is deemed to have made a significant contribution to the transportation profession. This particular award was introduced in 2004 which proves that there are only a select number of distinguished individuals that can claim to be recipients of this award.
Peter Hunkin, Chair of the Awards Committee said that “Stephen was recognised by a panel of his peers from around Australia and New Zealand for his long contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the transportation profession. His contribution over a long and distinguished career demonstrates his personal commitment to enhance knowledge in the industry. ITEANZ is pleased to be able to present our most prestigious award to such a deserving recipient.”
Mr Golding’s career spans over 35 years within the transport industry with many of those being spent as the Director-General of Department of Main Roads - now known as Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Mr Chris Koniditsiotis, Chief Executive Officer of TCA said that “This award is a fantastic achievement and proves that Stephen is highly respected by his fellow peers. The dedication and leadership he has shown over the years in this industry has seen him being respected by many.”
