TCA is a gold partner sponsor at Freight Week 2007

Friday 27 July 2007

Transport Certification Australia Limited (TCA), the company administering the Intelligent Access Program (IAP), is pleased to be a gold partner sponsor of Freight Week 2007.

Freight Week 2007 is hosted by the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) and will be held between Saturday 15 and Friday 21 September 2007 across Melbourne.

TCA Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chris Koniditsiotis said Freight Week 2007 provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the IAP to the freight and logistics industry as a solution to increasing productivity within a regulated marketplace.

“The freight industry and logistics managers are well aware that with the Australian freight task growing rapidly, the demand for improved access, different vehicle configurations and innovation and additional mass is greater now that it has ever been.

“The IAP goes a long way towards responding to the industry’s demands and it can assist the industry to achieving productivity gains in return for demonstrating to the road authorities that operators are complying with the agreed access conditions,” said Mr Koniditsiotis.

During Freight Week 2007, TCA will present the findings of two studies: the On-Board Vehicle Mass-Monitoring study; and, the Interoperability of Trailer Monitoring Device study. Transport operators and logistics manager are encouraged to attend both sessions to learn about the potential opporunities and efficiencies which could flow from these projects for both the transport and broader logistics sectors.
